Follow these simple steps to create the most crispy, tasty brussel sprouts.
Crispy Baked Sprouts
ingredients
400g/14oz brussel sprouts, halved
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper (or paprika for less heat)
Pinch of salt flakes
method
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius/350 degrees fahrenheit and prepare a baking tray with baking paper.
2. On the stove bring a medium pot of water to boil. *have enough water to cover your brussel sprouts.
3. Cut 400g/14oz of brussel sprouts in half, then drop them gently into the water. Leave for 2-3 minutes.
4. Using a slotted spoon, remove the sprouts, ensuring most of the water is drained, and place them straight onto a baking tray. Drizzle over 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp cayenne pepper (or paprika) and a pinch of salt flakes. Shake the tray, or use your hands, to coat the oil and spices over all of the sprouts.
5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until they are crisp and beginning to turn black/dark brown (this is when they will be the crunchiest!)

Healthy Skin & Hair
Constantly searching for products to tame dry hair and improve your skin? Often what is happening on the outside of our bodies is a product of what’s going on on the inside. A diet high in processed foods will lead to faster-ageing skin and brittle hair, however a diet high in certain vitamins and minerals will help you shine. Brussel sprouts are high in Vitamin C, which helps to destroy any cells causing damage to your hair, and Omega 3, which can then work uninterrupted to nourish the hair follicles. The Vitamin C in brussel sprouts also boosts collagen production, the building block of youthful skin. No need to fork over the money for beauty products when we can put our fork into some brussel sprouts instead!
